WOODHEAD SPRINGS.
------------------

In confirming the position in regard to Woodhead springs, which we are likely to order in the future for experimental work, the following points should be instructed :-

(1). Solid eyes.

(2). Clips integral with the spring plates.

(3). Provision for incorporating our method of lubrication, to our designs and detail drawings.

(4). We prefer the flexible tip made to our designs instead of turning down the ends of the spring plates, this latter construction being cumbersome and not well suited for use with gaiters.

Our position in regard to this matter is that we have ample evidence to show that the extra flexible tip made to our details absolutely prevents digging in at the ends.

We would prefer the sample springs not cadmium plated, as it is essential that the spring should be cleaned mechanically during the buffing, and go straight from the buffing operation through a hot water bath only direct to the plating vat.
