To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} x6553 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/KW.6.11.34. 4-B-IV. Lp{Mr Lappin}'s Car. The following jobs require attention on this car :- (1) Either the speedometer or the rev. counter cable drive is very noisy and requires attention. (2) The focussing & the headlamps is hopeless, the dipping arrangement is entirely inadequate. We should like you to arrange with West to ensure that this car represents what has been standardised for customers, and then we wish to try it again. This car appears to be a completely retrograde move from the original lamps and dimming which we standardised. (3) The brakes thump. (4) We should like to know the exact buffer clearances front and rear of this car, empty, and the exact ground clearance under the cut-out with three people in the car. (5) The radiator shutters operate at too low a temperature. Generally speaking the car runs at about 65°C. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
