3 1/2 Litre Bentley - Chassis & Body Weights.

Below we give weights of Bentley cars and their respective body weights, as used in this Dept.

Figures taken from the Test Dept. show that the weight of the first chassis was t. c. q. lbs. 1 3 1 0 against 1 3 0 19 of the present day chassis, not including latest damper scheme, but including petrol, oil, water and 5 wheels.

Seeing that there is only a difference of 9 lbs., we have taken the chassis weight at t. c. q. lbs. 1 3 1 0 in all figures below.

Car Type of Body Front Weight Rear Weight Total Weight Body Weight
c. q. lbs. c. q. lbs. t. c. q. lbs. c. q. lbs.

The 1934 Pontiac '8' body complete with wings, running boards, mats etc. weighs 8 c. 3 q. 20 lbs., a matter of 1 c. 2 q. less than 4-B-IV body.
