Experimental modification to the front axle to achieve a 41° lock.

Referring to Dal/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 4.5.25. of which I attach a copy, I consider that you should go ahead and issue to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} experimentally the second scheme referred to, in which the ear is cut entirely off the axle, and a full lock of 41° is therefore made possible. Would Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} arrange to check that this is satisfactory, and let us know whether we would be safe in going ahead with it. Personally, I do not quite see why Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} is so anxious that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} should test it on the bumper, but I think his instruction should be carried out.
