India. ------------ Front Axle. ----------- We sent you on Sat. N.Scheme 1996 shewing the suggestions for removing the difficulty with the brake carrier bolt head and the brake pull rod. Two suggestions are made - one to use a counter-sunk headed bolt with which 38° of lock can be obtained, and the other to cut off the lower bolt lugs altogether and replace them by one 5/16 bolt through the middle of the steering lever boss. The first suggestion would be suitable for the first cars, where you may have the carriers drilled, though even then it is possible to plug the aluminium carrier, but as the second suggestion saves a little weight, and enables you to get 41° of lock we suggest that it should be done subject to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} confirming there are no bad effects on the bumping rig.
