COPY. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}3/M26.10.31. X1085 X7260 C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} BONNET SHUTTERS. We thank you for HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LID{A. J. Lidsey}2/KT221031.140. We looked at the shutters on the N. 2. series cars at Olypia, and after speaking to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}, we are of the opinion that the radius on the edge of the shutter and the bonnet should be invreased to .075" on the present bonnet, and the gap between the bonnet and shutter increased by 25 thous. or thereabouts. When we come to the thick bonnet we think the radius might be still more increased, and would like you to arrange to do this. In order that we may see a sample of this increased radius it is suggested by Sales (HN{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders}) that we might put such a bonnet on the chassis for a contintal touring saloon - 33-JS.{Mr Johnson's Secretary} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
