PIVOTED FLIP-FLAP TYPE VENTILATORS.
Origin.
To improve appearance and facilitate operation.
Drawing X No. 1085/7260.

Part List
A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to Customers.
B Scrap and replace on Chassis in Works.
C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to text.
D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis.

Appearance and ease of operation approved Sales.
Tests at present in progress on 25-EX in France indicate that this type of ventilator is not less effective than present sliding shutter type.

This seems a good move; owing to there being a little difference which way they are fitted it looks as though the pivot should be central because it would make them easier to open, a point I think needs improvement. I much prefer this type of ventilator to louvres because they need not be open unless high speed and weather conditions demand. Our old shutters are quite out-of-date schemed about 23 years ago.
