BENTLEY 50 REAR AXLE - PD.90. "Belleville" Spring Washer. A test was carried out to find the effect upon the removal load of putting a "Belleville" spring washer GB.4015 under the retaining collar GB.4013, the latter being shrunk into position on the shaft in the normal manner. It was found that the load was reduced by approximately 0.25 ton, and this being less than the variation in removal load, due to the dimensional tolerances, cannot be considered as detrimental so far as direct loading is concerned.
