Cost analysis with proposed savings for various car manufacturing sections.

After discussion it was decided to assume a cost for this section for our quantity of 5,000 cars of £5. 10. 0d. per set.

This is a saving of £20 . 10 . 0. per set.

(d) Costs - Trimming.

Mr. Ward said:
P.W. Material costs £28.

Mr. Green said:
Daimler material costs £12. 5. 3.

It was suggested that a saving of £10 could be assumed on this section and still give a finish equal to Rover.

(e) Costs - Joiners and Finishers.

A discussion on costs in this section was held.

It appeared that P.W. pay £1 0. 6. for window lifts and Daimlers 14/-.

After similar price comparis ons it was agreed that a saving of £10 could be made on the present figure of £20.

(f) Painters Material.

Due to pressed panels and good tools it was acepted that the figures for this section could be reduced to £3. 10. 0d. from £7. 0. 0d.

(g) Electrical Wiring.

This section was credited with saving £0. 5. 0d.

(h) Smiths.

Due to more nearly complete tooling one assumed that the size of this section must be reduced and a saving of £1. was accepted.

Conclusion.
