J 350 To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}1/AP.19.12.36. 35-EX. STEERING. The cam which you are now building into 35-EX. steering, and which was supplied to us at least 14 months ago, has proved to be considerably oversize. As this is the only cam of its type available we agree to machining back the shoulders inside the rockershaft housing against which the bronze bush and the oil seal bed by 0.100" in order to be able to use this cam.
