C. & A.{Mr Adams} washers in Petrol Pumps.

In confirmation of our talk this morning we understand that you have recommended C. and A.{Mr Adams} washers on all plugs in the S.U. petrol pump only leaving alum. washers under the unions. We agree to this with the proviso that the thickness of the washers are at least 1/16" thick. The original washers bed down to 1/32" thick when trouble is sometimes experienced in remaking the joint. The washers submitted by the S.U.Co. were 1/16" thick with an open outside edge after breaking and making the joint 100 times it was still petrol tight.
