Sergeant Cobb. D/L2/EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}19.1.23. Please advise all gatekeepers that in future where cars go out with red No. plates with triangular licences they will carry a white slip, which the drivers will hand to the gatekeepers to enable them to enter in the logbook forthwith the (a) No. of plate (b) Date and time out. (c) Driver. The white slip should be handed back to driver immediately as he must carry it with him on the journey to show to police or Excise officer if required. On the drivers return he should hand the slip to the gate keeper who will retain it and complete the entry in the log book. Sergeant Cobb to accumulate the days slips and send to test dept each morning their slips for the previous day which are again be returned to him for storage. Red plates with oblong licences and black plates will be dealt with as heretogore. Care should be taken not to delay drivers at the gate a moment longer than necessary. | ||
