Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn8/H28.11.30. re. Capt. The Honorable Charles Winn. 137-XJ. It has been agreed by C. and Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} that we are to send a new steering column complete with nut and worm for the above car. Will you please instruct the Works to supply an E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} steering Silver Plated finish, column for this car. In the meantime, as the job is urgent, Sales have agreed that we shall use the steering complete from 180-GY, Lord Furness, as this car is not due for delivery until Jan. 1st. Will Sft.{Mr Swift} please note it is most important that we should be supplied with this steering not later than the middle of December, so that we can fit it to 180-GY, and have this chassis tested and ready for despatch on Jan. 1st. Meantime, we are sending the steering complete from 180-GY. to the Stores for despatch to Cricklewood. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Fun. has already sent an Experimental Dept. man to "N" to deal with this job. EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn. [STAMP: RECEIVED 29 NOV 1930] | ||
