With reference to C6/C26.11.30.

We ought to know more about this car. We suggest that Ratcliffe, who has driven many hundreds of miles on high speed wobbles, should go down and drive this car before any alteration is made to it.

We believe at present that no-one in London will drive the car into a wobble, which is really necessary so that we can be sure when it is cured. Furthermore, our man would be able to go over the points he knows have a bearing on the problem.

Our own opinion is that the trouble may be due to the pivot lean having become excessive, or to there being some peculiarity about the tyres which has not previously been observed. Stronger front springs will certainly improve matters.

We feel fairly certain that we shall find there is no mystery about this car but that some simple factor has been overlooked.

As there will be some delay in sending the column since the only one available is on Chassis 180-GY (Lord Furness), we are sending our man off at once so that he can proceed with the job. The column will follow him as soon as C. has given the necessary instructions.
