C.A.V. dynamo and starter motor for the 'Goshawk II', with a specific recommendation for LeCarbone brushes.

X.2345/333 X.4342V Regarding the C.A.V. dynamo, this seems to be the best one we have received. Apparently also the C.A.V. starter motor may also be considered the best. Regarding the brushes for these machines, it is advisable to use brushes with the least amount of copper in the mixture for the motor, and for the dynamo which is constantly running, I strongly recommend the single "C" quality of LeCarbone that has been found by Royce Limited to have such excellent lasting and wearing qualities; this was mentioned in a recent memo to you. Be sure there is no mistake about the class and make of brushes for our own make of motor and dynamo. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
