Re oiling of rear shock-damper connecting links.
If you will look up the previous 10,000 miles report on the 20-HP, you will see a host of reports on the failure of the oiling of the rear connecting links. We are still in trouble, no oil is getting to the bottom pads, with the consequence that after a day's running, the rear shock absorber links are chattering, wear having taken place, and readjustment is necessary. We again advise to fit larger Bijurs to this point.

Starter carburetter control tap. You will have observed in the Daily Reports that this tap, during one day's run, opened several times, due to the ball end of the control becoming slack. This tap should not be controlled by the friction of a ball and spring, there should be a definite friction in the tap itself to prevent its opening. We know that some time ago, a different arrangement of the controls was made so that the weight of the controls did not open it, but this does not seem to be efficient.

Re the front wheel brakes. Apart from a slight squeak during the first run after the segments had been taken off the drums, there has been no sign of any squeak. The arrangement seems to be quite as effective as on the Phantom.
