Dear Sirs, We have carried out further tests on your D.A.S. 10 damper with piston rings and with .001" diametral clearance pistons, and we regret to say that we have obtained no improvement in the diagrams. As there is still quite a considerable leak past the pistons when warm we should be obliged if you would make us a pair of no clearance pistons. We are prepared to heat the case up if necessary before assembly. However, we think that the greater part of the leakage when hot is taking place between the sealing piece and the case. We believe sealing piece is the name of the piece which screws into the bottom of the case and contains the valve. - Continued - | ||
