X6018 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. 4/KT. Oct. 22nd, 1932. Messrs Lucas Ltd, Great King Street, Birmingham. For the attention of Mr. E.A. Watson. Dear Sirs, Some time ago we received from your company a complete six cylinder Lucas ignition distributor, and ignition coil type M3/0. number 3230. We have been testing this distributor on the bench complete with its coil, but regret to state that the coil has broken down after 170 hrs. running, coupled to 10,000 volt test gaps, and we are arranging to return the coil to you for your examination. The symptoms appear to indicate a breakdown of the secondary winding. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
