The car in France has completed about 4000 miles. Reports have been issued as regards the troubles and No.3 Peregrine is now running and we are pushing to get No.1 up to date to replace No.2 at present in France. Item 8 on Agenda. Overheating Complaints. We are dealing with the complaints as they arise. We found that it was not wise to put in hand a stock of radiators because of the various types. We are at the moment supplying one special type Chassis 116-GN (Baron de la{L. A. Archer} Graviere). Not on Agenda. Steering Friction. We have now run cars fitted with the Cadillac and Marles Weller Type of steering xxx tests are not completed but we ought to be able to report some results next week. Item 11 on Agenda. Aero Engine Progress. No.119 engine has been despatched and we have followed it up at Hawkers and they are fitting it into the Fury machine immediately. We expect it to be flying next week. The Civil Type Test on 1517 engine which, if successful, will give a general release for 119 engine has started and the first two hours have been completed. Suggestion No.2 of Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}'s memo. Rg.{Mr Rowledge} can reply to this but we understand the final decision is that we shall adopt the 5.4 bore and the 6" stroke.
