Present - Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} PN.{Mr Northey} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} CHASSIS. Not on agenda. Cars for Olympia. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} raised the question of what chassis should be shown at Olympia. He stated that after giving the matter full con-sideration, he had come to the conclusion that the following were the correct chassis to show. P.II. 20/25 (China), and if possible either Peregrine or Bensport. The difficulty regarding J.III is that although it can be ready for showing at Olympia, the Works will need instructions by the middle of March for further material for chassis for the 20/25 market and J.III cannot possibly be ready for ordering material for production by anything like that time. It will therefore be necessary to put in hand a further series of 20/25's. Sales Dept. are quite satisfied to accept 20/25's for some time to come, as, due to the recent improvements, they believe that sales will remain at present level for such a period as will justify putting in hand a further series. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} explained that it was because of this situation that Peregrine or Bensport had become more urgently needed than J.III; as either of these chassis would tap a different market and would not interfere with sales of 20/25 which J.III would do, should the news leak out that such a car was contemplated.
