To Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from EEC. c. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} X3398 EFC3/T14.11.22. X.4414P - PETO & RADFORD BATTERY FOR GOSHAWK X.3398 40/50. Would you kindly note that we have received from Messrs. Peto & Radford (Advice No.5987 attached) six 12-volt TBD7 batteries for Goshawk, and we have these at present in the Elec. Expl. Laboratory as being in a charged condition they require keeping fit until required for use. It has been verbally arranged with P & R that the three experimental TBD7 batteries, which you may remember did not have their patent uncrackable Dagenite cell cases, shall be returned to them in exchange for three up-to-date ones for the Expl. Dept., and we would like you to make the necessary arrangements for these batteries to be returned by chassis travelling to London, to the P & R depot at 50, Grosvenor Gardens, S.W.1, whence they themselves will return them to their works at Dagenham Dock. At the moment, however, one of these batteries, being on a chassis in London is not available, but it is thought that this will be available early next week. At the same time we are desirous of returning one of the larger P & R BD.{Mr Berend}11 batteries which has done 10,664 miles on 1 EX, it having been arranged with P & R that they shall have this back to be opened up and examined and report to us. This battery is also in our Dept. and will be available any time when arrangements are made for shipping to Peto & Radford's Works. EFC. | ||
