Ardwick,
MANCHESTER.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to your letter of the 15th. inst.

We have calibrated the gauge head which we return to you herewith.

We are also returning the tank unit.

As you anticipated, the tank fitting stands out too far from the tank. The greatest hieght that we can allow is 1" from the flange face.

We have already mentioned that rubber connections will not be acceptable.

We would ask you to let us have the calibrated head and modified tank unit as soon as possible as we have a car starting for a prolonged road test in three weeks time and unless we can get your gauge on to it, its testing may be delayed for a considerable period.

Yours faithfully,

For Rolls-Royce Ltd.
