of plates has been O.K. There is a slight wear taken place where serrations of plates have dug in on the hub and dampers. We have increased the friction load of these to approx. 70 lbs. by packing up the springs with washers with a view to steadying the rear springing. the connecting links have required adjusting.

Propeller shaft.

We have had no trouble with this. The universal joints do not appear to have worn and the spherical joints covers have remained oil-tight.

Electrical fittings.

Elliott Ammeter. This has given no trouble and has worked quite satisfactory. Ignition Coil. with finer primary G.P.I. We have found no defects with this. Distributor box 'C' Type cutout, contacts with rigid backing and rigid fixed point support. The contacts were in good condition and have functioned O.K. 40/50 type Klaxon switch and wire. This has operated satisfactorily. Rear tail lamp has been broken due to stones hitting it. We have fitted a new lamp. We continue to break the filament of the rear bulb. These will not stand the rough bouncing on the roads. The wiring under front wings for N.S. and O.S. side lamp has broken in two. It has been necessary to fit new wires. We do not consider the lead covered wire suitable and more robust clips should be fitted.

Accumulator suspension.

We have had no further trouble with the suspension since fitting the extra vertical stay. The accumulator box has started to rattle due to wear having taken place in tie rod bkts. We have increased the holes to 5/16" and fitted new pins.

Exhaust silencer and bracket.

The lugging of the rear silencer has now got into a bad condition. It has torn away from clips in three places, bulged out at the bottom and opened out on the top. We require stiffer material for covering of silencers. The brackets have remained O.K.

Exhaust swan neck and snout.

These are still in good condition. There is an exhaust boom on retard.

Exhaust cutout.

This stuck in a closed position on one occasion due to the distortion of the valve spindle. The controls are not satisfactory. Considerable wear has taken place in jaws which causes the controls to rattle.
