Dear Sirs,

We duly acknowledge receipt of your communication of the 3rd instant and note your requirements with regard to the 21 Pistons originally intended for the raised portion of the crown to be .300".

We note that we are to machine 7 of these to give a raised portion of .330" by machining back the original crown to suit, and although this will make the crown thinner than normal by .030", we do not think the risk is at all considerable.

There are several radii blending at this point underneath the crown so that the actual area of reduced thickness would be relatively quite small. Therefore unless your new design of head happens to give a hot spot at this position, we think no disability should arise.

We are proceeding with the production of the various Pistons with all speed, and will ensure that the delivery period is reduced to the very lowest minimum.

Yours faithfully,
FOR THE LIGHT PRODUCTION CO.LTD.

R.M. Brooks
GENERAL MANAGER.
