Coverley - Production Engineer}/JMW.10/EMG.18.2.37. BENTLEY OIL PUMPS. With reference to memo' Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}15/R.27.1.37 please note position as under.- 1. We received the D.O. instructions covering Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}'s memo' on Friday afternoon, the 12th inst. We immediately notified Mr. Tuxford and Mr. Helliwell (No. 6 Shop). Mr. Tuxford reports this morning that in view of the amended instructions our best promise is to introduce this Pump on the 12th chassis in 'K' Series which is due to test week-ending March 6th. 2. We have not fitted any of the 25/30 HP. Pumps on Bentley Chassis as a temporary measure as our original promise was to commence fitting week-ending Feb. 27th. 3. As you are aware the Experimental Dept. have asked for 30 Pumps for despatch to Paris, and we promised these for February 20th.
