Nr.Manchester.

For the attention of Mr.E.C.McKinnon.

Dear Sir,

We beg to thank you for your letter of the 29th. ultimo reference CPL/LJ.

Referring to the new battery type 6-XSL11-1L we rather think that this is too big for our requirements in this instance, and we wonder if you have an intermediate battery, of 9 plates 5/8" thick which would give us an estimated capacity of 75 amp. hrs., and which would weigh about 80 lbs.

Will you please let us know if you can supply a battery of more or less standard dimensions with a monoblock container, approximately to the above capacity and weight limits, and if so what would be the dimensions of the same as compared with the limiting dimensions we gave Mr.McKinnon.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
