[STAMP: WST] Dear Sirs, We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 1st instant, from which we note that the proposed new battery type 6XSLL1-1L is rather too big for your requirements in this instance. We therefore suggest for your consideration a corresponding battery with one pair of plates less per cell, viz. type 6XSL9-1L. This battery would show a reduction in length, weight and capacity as compared with the 6XSLL-1L shown in our drawing GA57940 sent to you on the 29th ultimo, but in other respects would be identical with this drawing. The technical data would be as follows:- Battery Type 6XSL9-1L Assembly - Monobloc ebonite container with or without moulded ebonite cover. Intercell Connections - Lead coated copper, bolted to terminal pillars. Separation - Wood and ebonite. Overall Dimensions - 16 1/16" long x 6 3/4" wide x 10 3/16" high without cover or 11" high with cover. Weight - Approximately 71 lbs dry or 80 lbs with acid and charged (in each case without cover). Weight of cover 3 lbs. | ||
