YOUR REF. 18th.November,1935. -- Hives, Esq., Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sir, I believe that you are carrying out certain experiments in connection with supercharging Bentley cars, and I should be glad if you would let us have the opportunity to lend you a suitable size Centric so that you can make your own bench and road tests. The volumetric and mechanical efficiencies of the Centric are very high and these machines have the merit possessed by no other vane machine, that they will not seize up. They have been proved to run for hundreds of miles without any oil whatever, and without damage, the only wearing surfaces are ball bearings and four fabroil vane trunnions and guides for the vanes. I enclose herewith leaflets, etc. dealing generally with Centric supercharging, and shall be pleased if you will give us the opportunity to have our machines tested by you. I was Sales Manager of the Rolls Royce Co. in its very early days, but probably beyond Mr. Cowan, Mr. Platford and Major Cox is too long ago for the present staff to remember. Yours faithfully, p.p.
