unit, we suggest that you will wish to hold up the construction of this item as long as possible. We anticipate having some results in at any moment now and it looks as though the unit construction will win. In any case, we think we should have metal running boards without any wood lining, as this effects a very great saving in weight.

(4) INCREASED REAR WHEEL ARCH CLEARANCE.

We think that the height of the rear wheel arch should be increased by .250 inches on this batch of bodies, as we have experienced fouling on the present batch.

(5) DOOR STOPS.

In view of the trouble we have received with dropping doors we wonder whether we should not consider the use of the Bedford stop to carry the door, so relieving the load from the Ferodo stops, which would merely control the door as to the amount it closes.

(6) MUD.

An 3/8" vertical lip hanging downwards from the inner edge of the mud lip on the wing has proved very effective in keeping the car clean. We wonder whether we should not consider introducing this feature.

(7) CUSHIONS.

We think that we should again review the design of the cushion and squab belonging to the front seat. In any case, the cushion at the back should pass underneath the squab and not the squab pass down behind the cushion. The base of the sliding seat should be cut away as much as possible, so that the fabric base of the cushion can sag down through the hole, thus giving a more effective depth to the cushion. We suggest also that we should consider the use of solid Latex cushions and squabs on a car of this type where riding comfort at high speeds is important. Solid Latex cushions have been tried on experimental cars in Derby with great success because of their inherent internal damping.
