FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to MR. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BENTCROFT RADIATOR. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/AS.10.10.32. X4553. Herewith we send N. sch. 3561, showing the bottom of this radiator, including the suspension in the frame. It will be noticed that the radiator has been moved forward an additional .6" making a total move forward of 1.3", compared with the position shown on N. sch. 3502. The shutters follow the construction of Peregrine, and are intended to be mild steel, chromium plated. There is a question of the material of the outer shell. We wish it to be finished chromium plated. We believe the Bentley shell is of nickel. It will be noticed that we have introduced a cross member underneath the radiator, and this will have to be taken down to remove the supercharger. We shall be glad to have E's remarks, if any. We understand from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} that if a Roots blower should be used it will go into the space provided without alteration. The top of the tank is following on a later drawing.
