In reply to EFC2/T21.2.27, North & Sons have written us as follows:- "We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of "the 23rd inst. with copy of your report on magnetos "Nos.83132 and 83133 and regret to note that the "electrical performance of these magnetos is not so "good as that of magnetos Nos.83119 and 83120. "We have looked into the matter carefully, but "cannot from our records trace anything likely to "account for this difference, but if you can return "the magnetos Nos.83132 and 83133 to us for further "examination, we will give them immediate attention "on receipt and get them back to you with the least "possible delay. "We regret that it should be necessary to do this "but there does not appear to be any other way of "ascertaining the cause of the difference between these "two machines and those previously sent to you." If arrangements can be made to release the 2 magnetos, I will arrange for same to be returned to North & Sons on hearing from you. P.S. I shall see Mr North tomorrow in London.
