X 4021 To Wd.{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead} from EFC. c. A.I.D. (Mr. Wilkins). EFC3/T1.3.27. WATFORD MAGNETOS NOS.83132/3. We have yours Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}1/NJ1.3.27, enquiring if arrangements can be made to release the two magnetos Nos.83132/3 so that same may be returned to North & Sons. I regret that in this matter we have not yet received sanction from the A.I.D. in regard to the return of these two magnetos to Messrs. Norths. We are also unable to proceed with the return of the two magnetos Nos.83134/5 with axial distributors, referred to in our EFC1/T24.2.27, as I have understood from the A.I.D. verbally that the cost of this change cannot at the moment be undertaken. We have now arranged for a meeting of Mr. Wilkins, Mr. Rowledge, Mr. Hives and myself at which we hope to come to some definite ruling as to what we may or may not do on this question of magnetos for Falcon X., which magnetos must be to some extent considered as in an experimental stage, particularly those of the Watford type.
