R.R. 205A (100 T) (S.P. 168. 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 Contd. -2- EFC10/T31.12.20. It is difficult to know whether to put in a note to this effect or not. Our desire was to say neither too much nor too little. Too much might make the matter unreadably long. We have tried to just give a sufficient indication of what should be done by one who has just a reasonable electrical experience, assuming that such a person would appreciate the reason. If the person is inexperienced, this is provided for by saying that an electrical expert should be consulted. We may perhaps just add a sentence such as the following:- "The reason for this is the avoidance of shock which might be received by touching the chassis". The point mentioned in your last paragraph certainly involves some element of danger and I am told that this once actually occurred in the Test Dept. It might be as well to arrange for the live terminal to be covered with an insulating thimble. We will look into this matter. We have, however, had no other complaints on this point. EFC. | ||
