X8992 Restaurant-Octobon., Le-Canadel. Par-Le-Lavandou. (Var) France. 22.1.28 Mr.Hives.from Dodd. 14-E.X. Continues to run very well, no further breakages to report. Engine mounting remains stationary, no increased drop of engine. Shock dampers have retained their oil very well, only about a table-spoonful being required in OSR.damper. The level of the others were OK. Front brakes squeak when first applied after standing for any length of time, afterwards improving with use. Cut-out switch to dynamo is great saver of battery water. I do not know if this is of interest or not, but when the battery has reached its max, i.e. 17-Volts, the cut-out comes into action and cuts dynamo off. Now, if the klaxon is used, the dynamo immediately takes up the charge, and approx half a minute only is required to again bring the battery up to its 17-volts. This is of course repeated innumerable times, also, a rough piece of road is sufficient to break the contacts apart. Would it not be better for the contact points, if they were contd- | ||
