By Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} __________ from Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} X7310- Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}3/T22.7.29. SS.{S. Smith} GEAR BOXES. On our past production it has always been possible to fairly easily change gear boxes from chassis to chassis, this is a great advantage. On the '33' Gear Boxes, we are unable to do this owing to the rear suspension bracket G76736, which is as you know a separate piece on the 3rd motion shaft, and is drilled by hand to suit the position of engine & gear boxes in the chassis. I suggest that this part could be made in two pieces, which would enable us to change gear boxes on test, and would also permit of this being done as a service job. R.H.C. MxR | ||
