Re B.65.AE..Richard Summers.

The following is extract from letter received this morning from Mr.Summers:-

"With regard to my car, B.54.AE, I have now completed 6,000 miles, and on the whole I am very pleased with it indeed. There are, however, two features which I feel call for attention, as and when you are in a position to take them up.

Firstly I think it is quite essential that some form of control should be fitted to the springing. I do not see how it can be possible to get really satisfactory suspension on a car of this type without some control. I understand this is now fitted to the "Phantom" and I assume it will only be a matter of time before the Bentley is similarly fitted.

Secondly Is the amount of whip which takes place on the front wings and headlamps. This is a somewhat irritating feature, and I am afraid it will be impossible to prevent the front wings from cracking so long as they have as much movement as at present."

If you have any remarks to make upon these criticisms perhaps you will please let me know.

C.
