Seizure of white metal bearing at inner end of toggle shaft. Clearance increased to overcome this trouble, and is being applied to all cars as they become available at Depots. See Depot Sheet No. H.220. 40/50 HP. Modification to lubrication of actuating shafts are being made on production cars. Generally due to insufficient poundage on the Servo pendulum lever and may be cured by adjustment. This in the majority of cases is due to cars being fitted with Ferobestos Liners causing excessive wear in short mileages. All Ph.II R.H. cars have Ferobestos front liners and hand brakes rear; a number of 20/25 HP. have also had Ferobestos front Liners. All cars now being built are fitted with Ferodo Liners all round. | ||
