Remarks on a race, detailing performance of wheel hubs, tyres, and fluid consumption.

Remarks on the race / 7/9/35.
Wheel hubs.
Changes were greatly improved by the fitting of special nuts, which had the following incorporated. Brass insert on taper; Pilot, air release holes, threads lapped in. & wings splayed at an angle.
The nuts were still very tight on the tapers during the race change, N.S. especially.
Tyres.
Front 19"x 6.00" Rear 19"x 6.50"
India standard taken from stock.
These tyres would have lasted the whole course, but were changed once according to plan.
Oil cons:- 12 1/2 pints. Petrol cons in practice 11.8 MPG. (CV+LB) LBrace.
Petrol was handled in 5 gallon churns filled through a large round funnel.
Water:- Required 3/4 gallon at finish; leak from gasket externally.
