For the attention of Mr.Harvey Bailey.

Dear Sirs,

In answer to your letter of the 19th.inst. the writer wishes to confirm his visit to you on Thursday, the 21st.inst. when the question of trip defects was discussed.

The following modifications were brought in about a fortnight ago. i.e. a steel washer in between the tenth and first roller, less tension on the trip star spring, and a coil spring instead of a flat cone spring on the brass driving wheel. This has done away with a lot of end thrust and tension on the rollers and gives a far more satisfactory zero setting.

We are experimenting with a view to using a brass star for the first roller, immediately this is tested out we will send one for your approval.

We again wish to state that we are doing everything to overcome any trouble which has arisen.

Assuring you of our best attention at all times.

Yours faithfully,
pp. A.T.Speedometer Co.,Ltd.,
