No.165. 1st. April, 1920.

A further complaint has been received with regard to the speed of cars being driven on the works premises, despite my continued instructions on this matter.

Please note that after receipt of this notice, anyone disregarding the following instructions will be instantly dismissed.

I regret to have to take up this attitude and it is only done after repeated instructions and warnings, and if these instructions are disregarded, it is obviously a question of rank insubordination.

1. Cars must only be driven on the works premises along the direct main yards between the test shop and the gates, or along the front paved yard of the test shop, or in the case of axle cars, in a direct route between the Hangars and the main yard leading to the south-west gate.

2. Cars must not under any circumstances exceed the prescribed 4 miles per hour limit.

EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}

[Handwritten]
No running of chassis for testing purposes must take place on works premises.
