Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/T2/F14.4.20. x180 We attach copy of further sheet which we have to-day issued to Testers and Drivers in the Test Dept. We must say that although we have assumed that the complaints which we have received are in regard to the cars belonging to the Test Dept., I myself and my Supervisors have on many occasions seen Repair and Experimental cars being driven about the yards much faster than should be the case. We have also seen cars using tracks on the works premises which should not be used for the running of cars. We suggest that the Repair cars should stick to the main yard as prescribed by us, and also suggest that the Experimental cars should be definitely instructed as to which course they should pursue in getting from the gates to the Experimental Dept. Complaints received of cars being driven to the danger of the employees are not in regard to cars in the main yards, but to cars running in between the various shops and appearing unexpectedly round corners at much too great a speed. I issued instructions some long time ago to all drivers that they must only use the two main yards leading to the gates, and the paved area in front of the Test Dept., and as far as I know, this is being done by them.
