W/S - C. c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 4561 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/KW.12.6.35. 20/25 HP. Petrol Consumption. With reference to C7/C. 6.6.35, the consumptions quoted by the two owners are of course lower than the best that we know we can do with the new carburetter. We should like to arrange to tackle these customers' cars next week. We recommend that Whyman should deal with the cars, in conjunction with Cricklewood. He could run down on an experimental car fitted with one of the latest type carburetters, do a side by side consumption test with the customers' cars, and if the figures are as bad as those stated, change the carburetters over, and then in due course have the customers' carburetters brought up to date by the Works. With regard to Major Monro's car, in view of the work we have so far done we think it would be best if a filter was fitted to this car in London rather than that it should be brought to the Works. Whyman can deal with this if the car is available when he delivers your car. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
