Date: 15-7-1926 Order No.: JC37 Customer's No.: Re experiment on battery charging to characteristic V=17 - '.25A. A Std P&R RRII battery was fully charged at a constant current of 6 amperes & the highest sustained P.D. at this current was 16.6. The battery was then low rate discharged through an invariable external resistance of .80Ω & gave 65 ampere hours. Following this the battery was taken in a discharged condition & charged on a fixed voltage of 17 with a .25 ohm resistance in series. The charge commenced at 16 amperes & gradually tapered down to 3.5 amperes when the sustained PD was 16.1 (cont.d) Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
