which remained constant for 3 hours.
The battery was then again discharged as before a 65.3 ampere hours were obtained.
This shows that a battery can be fully charged by this method although it has not reached its maximum PD.
To confirm the above Exide TR {Capt. F. W. Turner - Finance} battery was fully charged at 6 amperes, the maximum sustained PD being 15.4 & discharged as before & 58.7 ampere hours were obtained. It was then charged up again on 17 volts the maximum sustained PD was 15.2 & the final charging current 6.5 amperes these remained constant for 3 hours
