X4521. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Da {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} /Ev. {Ivan Evernden - coachwork} C. C. Da {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} /Evl0/M15.11.29 PHANTOM II FOR PRINCE OF WALES. The Prince of Wales proposes to carry two wheels aft of the rear cross tube on his Phantom II. The body is like that on 18-EX, but about 6" longer. We have no doubt in our own mind that there is no practical or technical difficulty in this arrangement, from the point of view of controllability at high speeds, tail wagging, or interference with the steering. We would however, be glad if you could confirm this by your experiences, and let us have a line early next week so as to be supplied with this information before the Prince visits his coachbuilders next Thursday.
