For the attention of Mr. N.R. Chandler.

Dear Sirs,

Re 10" Cross Cushion Driven Plate.

We have to acknowledge receipt of your esteemed letter of the 14th instant in connection with the above. Remarks are appreciated and an attempt was made to contact you by telephone this morning. Unfortunately, the drilling of the Cross Cushion type assembly clutches clashes? with our standard drilling; therefore, we regret to state we are unable to utilise drilled facings in our possession. We should appreciate your advice as to whether you are desirous of our obtaining a quantity of undrilled Thermoid Facings from U.S.A.

Meantime, instructions have been issued to our Works to produce one 10" Cross Cushion Driven Plate utilising Ferodo Facings S.6777 which you will forward to us. We are agreeable to supply this assembly without charge.

Finally, the amount of compression under a load of 1350-lbs is, .027" theoretically.

Yours faithfully,
BORG & BECK COMPANY LIMITED.

A.M. Shinkins.
