W/P. To Sr. from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 1110 also 1245 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/AP.20.12.37 Re. BORG & BECK CLUTCHES Thanks for Sr.6/Crn.16.12.37. So far we have not confirmed that the Long clutch plate is a great deal better than the Borg & Beck. It is easy to mix up clutch jagger with engine mounting oscillation. There is no doubt if one has a very free engine mounting on a Bentley one imagines the clutch is worse. The use of the torque reaction damper improves matters.
