Daily reports on 22GV 13.3.36 - 17.3.36 - 1.4.36 - Valve springs broken or weak. (PhIII 2 cars only). No failures on 15,000 miles test. Occasional breakages in Exp. Percy & on hot beds. Oil leaks (25/30). No leaks reported from rear main bearings of Exp. 25/30 cars. They were reported on 21 GN, 20/25 on 24.5.34 - 25.5.34 - 26.5.34 - 29.5.34 - 12.6.34 - 1.8.34 - 10.8.34 - 13.8.34 - 18.8.34 - 20.11.34 - 22.11.34 - 3.12.34 - 4.12.34 - 5.12.34 - 8.12.34 - 17.12.34 - 18.12.34 - 11.1.35 - 18.1.35 - 12.9.35 - 21.9.35 also on several Bentleys with similar crankcases on 15,000 miles tests daily reports. Oil leaks from rocker cover joint. Daily report on 22GV. 1.4.36 - 15.6.36 - 11.12.36 - 15.12.36. Engine overoiling (25/30). Heavy oil consumption reported with each new unit fitted to 22GV until thoroughly run in, in 15,000 miles tests. (PhIII) Oil consumptions in France. 3.5.1. 369 m.p.g. 2.5.1. 550 m.p.g. 32 Ex. 829 m.p.g. 35 Ex. 878 m.p.g. 32 Ex 1948 m.p.g. (with solid rocker gear). Overoiling experienced on 35 Ex in London. Flooding experienced due to dirt under needle valve seat on Ph.III and leaking due to bad washers & fitting but neither included in Daily Reports.
