[Handwritten top left: H/S with a line through it] [Handwritten top right: 8634] URGENT. S/W (Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}) from H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} [Handwritten: copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}] H5/H13.4.31. 110-GY. - Lord Allendale. ------------------------- Please see attached copy of letter dated 11th inst. from Lord Allendale's driver, Pickvance. You will note that apart from the oil leakage from a shock absorber the letter contains a serious complaint of what we call roar noise and fuss. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} wishes you to take immediate steps to collect the car from the address near Nothampton and to give it immediate attention. In view of the close investigation now being made into cases of road, drumming and vibration, he would like Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} to give the car his attention and apply whatever modification he thinks best suited to overcome the complaint in this case, reporting fully in due course. You will no doubt communicate, after collecting the car, with the owner at Bywell Hall, Stocksfield-on-Tyne, with reference to the car going to Hoopers for the coachwork mentioned in the letter.
