RE ORDER FOR 500 MERCURY PLUGS.
---------------------------

It is quite clear, to my mind, that the 500 plugs we have placed on order were intended to be used on production. We only refer to R's memo in order to point out that the scheme referred to by R, could be used for keeping the plugs clean while the chassis are on test, but the real point in my memo was to get 250 on test in EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}'s department and deliver to customers in order to obtain experience, and similarly the lots of 100 each which we propose to supply to the Repair department and N, (Cricklewood) were intended to be despatched on customers cars, in order to obtain experience in regard to the running of the plugs in the customers hands.

Will EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}, kindly arrange to fit the plugs in question to all the London trials cars, as early as possible.

BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer}
